Muffin: She Came, She Saw, She Conquered
This cat has mind and personality to spare, but she is also beautiful. She is completely different from Lucy’s tall and elongated frame, Siamese-narrow face and rather coarse coat. Muffin is short and compact, standing solidly on this earth, with a face as broad as a tomcat’s. Her eyes are ever alert and communicating her thoughts and wishes – because this cat has thoughts. Lots of them. We are all in love with her coloring and her fur is like velour, so inviting for your hands. Which she frequently opines should be touching her, so it works out for both parties. In these and so many other ways, Muffin has proven that she is the Mistress of her territory and whatever minions may at any time dwell therein
Muffin may only have been part of the family for five months, but it feels like more than that. She and my mother knew each other from the start and have only become more of a unit since. Every now and again, you are lucky enough to meet an animal who is truly yours and where you are truly their person. An animal who belongs. When you do, it is nothing but joy.

Happy new kitty, Mor. I don't blame her for being territorial–she knows who loves her!
I love conversational cats! Kiwi joins me for breakfast and evening television, but it's really when Emily comes home that she's a constant chatterbox–not just for food, or needs, just chats to fill gaps! Ask her a question, or respond to hers, and she replies w/something! How nice Muffin knew at once your Mor would be great company! Your cat-sister is lovely ( I'm Kiwi's official “Noonie” and her 'mum' will be coming home for 3 weeks this Christmas so I expect much to chat/meow about.) Lovely Muffin.
My pound-puppy, Magic, is like that with me. Molly, the rescued Airedale, is a sweetie with both of us. Daisy, the rescue-cat, is very benign, tolerates the dogs' antics and is happy to fit in wherever…she really seems to appreciate her new “digs”.
Oh this is wonderful!
So, so cool. I love it!
What a beauty :). She's certainly a sturdy lady. Is she muscular, or…dare I say it? Squidy?
What a beauty. Love in the face of a veloury cat. Bliss….
Lovely post! I'm so glad your mom and Muffin found one another. Our cat is a bit of a princess. She will wait until you arrive home, use the litterbox, meow until you clean it, then use it again, repeat meowing. We've decided if we were ever gone for a long stretch, she might explode.
Beautiful baby!! Such a happy story and post..love the pics!, 🙂 One of my cats names is Isabelle McMuffin because I literally found her at the drive thru at McDonalds one day and she makes so many little “muffins” on us… 🙂
awwwww. I love a talkative kitty.
